At the conclusion of this course participants will be able to:
- Describe the history of antibiotics and antibiotic resistance;
- Apply the CDC recommendations for appropriate antibiotic use in children and adults to their professional practice;
- Summarize the health care professional's ethical responsibility in the prescription of antibiotics;
- Discuss the proper use of antibiotics with patients including myths and realities of antibiotic misuse; and
- Explain the potential ethical implications when antibiotics are misused.

The data collected from the evaluation form will help us to create and refine our courses and educational materials to meet your needs. Also, this data will be used to document activities for grant writing and reporting purposes. Your participation is extremely important to reporting and future funding. Upon successful completion of the post-test and evaluation form, your certificate will be mailed to you.
It may take up to 14 days after post-test
and program evaluation completion to receive your certificate. Pharmacy CEUs will be processed by the University of Southern Nevada and it may take up to 30 days to receive your certificate.
