At the conclusion of this course participants will be able to:
- Explain how disasters may impact the short-term and long-term mental health status of those involved;
- Describe normal trauma reactions to disasters and other critical incidents;
- Identify persons in need of professional mental health intervention and provide appropiate referral options; and
- Discuss the effect of disasters on special populations and provide appropiate referral options.

Item number three below is a program evaluation. The data collected from the evaluation form will help us to create and refine our courses and educational materials to meet your needs.
